The Gunnery + Artspace
In 1992, Artspace took over Woolloomooloo’s historic Gunnery Building, becoming a hub for leading contemporary art exhibitions for over two decades.
After temporarily closing its doors in 2021, the museum underwent an extensive renovation led by the renowned architectural firm Dunn Hillam. This transformation aimed to balance heritage preservation with modern functionality, resulting in a visually striking, functional, and accessible space that truly reflects Artspace’s diverse role in the arts community.
As part of this renovation, we collaborated on the upgrade of the lighting throughout the building to the latest innovative technology from iGuzzini. iGuzzini Laser Blade and Palco Framer track lights in black now illuminate the various areas of the gallery, offering high visual comfort, efficiency, and superior colour rendering.
We are proud to have contributed to illuminating this incredible cultural institution. Together, we light!
